Does our organization qualify?
Nonprofits, community organizations, and mission-driven groups qualify, alongside academic and homeschool work. Many organizations are recognized automatically at signup from their email domain; if yours isn’t, a simple self-identification step applies the pricing. See if your work qualifies.
What exactly is free?
Your first survey, complete: unlimited questions, unlimited responses. It collects responses for 30 days after you publish, and it wears a small “Powered by Candor” badge. Afterwards, you can still log in, see your results and export them. No credit card required.
Can our board see results without doing anything technical?
Yes. With a Candor Annual plan, you invite board members into a Circle. Each person gets their own login and sees live results in their web browser, for exactly the surveys you’ve shared. Circle memberships are $35 a year per person with the nonprofit discount.
What happens to our data when our paid Candor subscription ends?
Your results stay accessible to you until you close your account. You can still log in, filter them, chart them and export them, and keep drafting new surveys. To publish again, choose Candor Monthly or Candor Annual.
Does Candor use AI?
Only if you turn it on. AI help is off in a new Candor account, and you can switch off any AI feature in Settings. Only one feature, Response themes, sends your respondents’ written answers to the AI. See what each AI feature does and sends.
